Prayer


“Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit…”

God is the creator of all things.  It is through Him that we have life this very moment.  Without Him, we have nothing of any value whatsoever.  Romans 11:36 says, “For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things.”  Without the power and presence of God, ministry to others is powerless and ineffective.


The prayer ministry of the Gathering exists to be sure that we are always mindful of our dependence upon God’s Holy Spirit in all that we do at the Gathering.  While it is the responsibility of each believer to live a life of total dependence upon Jesus Christ, there is a team of people that have been called to serve the church through prayer in a specific way.

Each Sunday as the message is delivered, there are people that are praying on behalf of the pastor and those in the congregation.  Each week as needs arise among those of the Gathering, this team takes time to pray for each of these people individually.  We, at the Gathering, want to be known as people who live in total dependence upon God’s Holy Spirit in everything that we do.
