Service Opportunities

theGathering is more than just a Sunday morning worship experience, we are people discovering we have a part to play, “right here, right now.” There are many areas of involvement that call for your specific strengths and passions.  It may seem a little overwhelming at times trying to figure out where and how to get plugged in so here are some areas we invite you to dive into.

:: Community Involvement ::

  • We talk about “being” the church, well this is where it starts
  • Helping neighbors
  • Getting involved with various organizations that meet the needs of the homeless, the lonely and disconnected, the hurting and others we haven’t even considered yet.

Do you have a heart to get involved; to meet needs; to help people; to impact your community; to love others... you are exactly who we are looking for.

:: WorshipArts ::

  • Do you spend hours working on a drum solo or guitar riff so it sounds just like the recording?
  • Can you do things on a Mac that sometimes surprise even you?
  • Do you constantly mess with the equalizer on your stereo looking for just the right sound?
  • Are you wildly creative? Do you think some lessons are better learned through artistic expression?

If this makes your heart pound then we want your help to develop new and expressive worship experiences.

  • Do you see kids as more than just a responsibility that has to be covered and more like an opportunity to invest in the future?
  • Are you the type that is able to turn ordinary stuff into extraordinary object lessons that engage little minds?
  • Do you find that kids are often smarter than adults?
  • Is the neighborhood always at your house, because you’re the fun person?
  • Does the sound of kids laughing and playing make you smile?

If you’re the type that sees kids as our greatest resource and enjoys seeing them understand things for the first time... you’ve got the raw materials to help us build a dynamic next generation ministry.

  • Do you like to build stuff?
  • Does the idea of setting up sound equipment and staging resonate with your never realized desire to be a roadie?
  • Do you like dealing with the behind the scenes details?

When you meet in a facility who's primary use is not a church, it takes a lot of people to transform it from week to week. If the idea of putting that process together and making the difficult look effortless stirs something in you... come on!
